Been mostly working on my freestyle routine for the Golden Combo Tournament and it has been an interesting thing to think over. Trying to decide what is the best examples/demonstrations of my current abilities is a new challenge that I expected to be easier than it is. Mostly because of the 30 second time limit. There isn't time for me to get to everything I would like to so I have to pick and choose. My general goal is to have 3 or 4 main combos and add in a few special tricks but realistically that is still too much to fit into the timeframe and I'm not proficient enough to guarantee the success of back to back ideal moves at my best speed. My actual plan is to keep working at all the parts and pieces and just see what feels right when I go to record my entry, I will do several attempts and pick the best one. I know I wanted to do better but participating is more important to me than getting my ideas perfect and there will be 2 more times to try this year. Anyways it is mostly comprised of a twin-digit rolls, X pattern combination, a lot of single hand work, I want to also get some flow style in for variety as well as switching from single and double in interesting ways, last but not least I need to have some type of legwork so have a fun multi rebound utl aerial foot catch to fit into it. I embedded a video with examples and variations of what I'm working on, its rough and compiled from lots of different practice sessions but hopefully gets the ideas across.
