"Life is what happens when we're making other plans."
That's a really great saying…but there's another saying that goes. "“Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity" Mix these together and you have my life.
So what happened to Flowtricks recently is a great blessing but also an overwhelming one. Out of the blue, we got so many gigs that I haven't had much time to breathe. Remember when I almost quit earlier this year? I almost had to get a full time job and leave what I loved doing. Well… I stuck with it and now performances have exploded.
I wasn't prepared though. I wasn't prepared at all! We did a show in March and that video began to circulate around my town. Out of nowhere, these last couple months have just been insane. What many people may not know about Flowtricks (the online series and the community) is that it often takes many, many hours to do things. Like my website is the process of about a thousand hours of work spread over a two year time period. Most videos take anywhere between 4-7 hours to record, edit, post, thumbnail, SEO, keyword, describe and share.
When gigs were slow, I literally had lots of time to do many things for the website, videos, etc. When the wave hit, I was unprepared and got knocked over! I'm still barely keeping up but I've hired an assistant to help me coordinate gigs. Also, on the tutorial/community side (the side you're on), I'm using Jason Jadud to help teach some videos…and I"ll be looking at more admins to start FLOWTRICKS GAMES.
If there's one thing I've learned from all of this…it's that I can no longer do this on my own! It's such a great problem to have, but if I don't take action, the momentum will disappear. So just know I've been chugging away at something every day, all day. I'm starting to delegate…I think that's the big lesson. And I thank you for all your patience! I will catch up and I will keep everything moving forward. I'm just gathering the team together because I can no longer do it alone! 🙂
Lastly, check out this awesome video! This is some of the shows me and my team have been doing lately.
Happy to hear things are going well and am really looking forward to seeing Jason helping with the tutorials. That is so cool your performance business is taking off beyond expectations congratulations and keep up all the great work dude!
Thanks Jay! Yeah, things are looking great for the future! 🙂
