Yesterday, I woke up almost every hour. I had a raging fever and my head was pounding to the point of dizziness. Pretty bad body aches, felt like needles were pricking me all over. I thought to myself, I have a show today, this is going to be very interesting!
I drink lots of fluids, loaded up on ibuprofen and coffee. As the show began, I was still fighting the cold sweat, body aches and dizziness. I knew that I had a limited amount of energy ( as well as balance when I was on my wheel.). I was constantly pacing myself to make sure I can keep it exciting while not overheating or overdoing it. It was probably one of the most challenging shows just because of how I was feeling. But, everything was fantastic! The awesome thing is that nobody even noticed. Everyone was excited after the show, and I knew I rocked it out!
I'm happy to know that I can push through things like this. It's not something I would ever complain about because I would trade the challenging side of performance/teaching over working in a cubicle any day. This is my passion, and I'm blessed to be able to do this as my career. It was quite a challenge though, but now I can go home and rest! On another note, the people of O'Neill Nebraska I really like them, they are very friendly and kind!
