Well, it’s 2018 now. A chance for me to solidify my nunchuck skills.
In 2017, I feel like I was too broad with my general “I want to be better at nunchucks” goal. However, thanks to me just trying out a little of everything, I think I’ve been able to identify some weaknesses. In the past, I didn’t know enough tricks which made free flow look boring. Today, I know a slew of tricks but just need to learn to flow between tricks better and, overall, move and spin.
Another weakness I have is incorporating aerials into my spin. I didn’t see the value in aerials until I realized just how much better flow looks when you incorporate them. I’ve learned two generic throws, but plan on learning how to spin after throwing the chucks and catch them.
Well, those are my 2018 goals: work on moving while doing tricks, work on flowing better, and work on aerials. I’ve identified the issue…now I have to get off my butt and actually practice more!
Happy new year flowtricks family. Spin on!
I need to work on doubles and body movement.
Body movement, creativity, doubles and performing
yeah, performing is a big one for me. I actually get nervous when friends and family ask me to do a demo for them. The crazy thing is that I’ve competed for years in martial arts! I even teach martial arts! Yet, with nunchucks I get nervous sometimes.
same here!!! i know what i can do and that my level with nunchuck is ok. But if i have to perform for my friends for example , then i always get nervous … its better when i play in front of more people … because its not so close and directly.
BUt sometimes i like it a little bit to get this nervous feeling 🙂
